“Lynx can’t be opened”

The first time you open an app downloaded from the internet, macOS checks it. If it shows a message that Lynx can’t be opened or Apple could not verify it:

1. Click Done (or OK) to close the message.
2. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security.
3. Scroll down to Security. You’ll see a line about Lynx — click Open Anyway.
4. Confirm with Open and your password or Touch ID.

You only need to do this once.

If you see “Lynx is damaged and can’t be opened”, the download was interrupted. Delete the app and the .dmg, then download Lynx again.
