Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the Lynx apps (Lynx Download Manager, Lynx Notch and the Lynx browser extension), buy Lynx Pro, or use lynxdownloadmanager.com. By using them you agree to these terms. The Licence Agreement also applies to the software itself.

1. Using Lynx responsibly

Lynx is a download manager: it downloads files, and video and audio from web pages, on your own computer. Use it for content you have the right to download — your own uploads, public-domain and openly licensed works, and anything the owner allows you to save. You are responsible for what you download and how you use it. Don’t use Lynx to infringe copyright, to get around paywalls or access controls, or in breach of a website’s terms. Lynx does not get around copy protection (DRM). We don’t host, index or provide any third-party content, and nothing you download passes through our servers.

2. The free version and Pro

Lynx is free to use with the limits described on the pricing page. Lynx Pro unlocks more features for the period you pay for (monthly or yearly) or permanently (lifetime). New installs include a free trial of Pro; when it ends, Lynx continues as the free version. We may change what’s included in each plan, but we won’t take away a Pro feature you’ve already paid for during your current billing period, and lifetime licences keep every Pro feature they were sold with.

3. Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it takes the payment, collects applicable taxes, and handles billing questions, receipts, returns and refunds. Prices are shown in US dollars unless the checkout shows your local currency; your bank may convert them. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time — from the link in your receipt email, at paddle.net, or by asking us; Pro stays active until the end of the paid period. Questions about Lynx itself come to us.

4. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of a purchase. See the Refund Policy.

5. Licences

A Pro licence is for one person, on one of their own computers at a time; you can move it between your computers. Team licences cover the number of people you pay for. Licences may not be resold or shared publicly. We may deactivate licences that are shared, resold or obtained by fraud.

6. Updates and availability

Downloads depend on the websites you download from, which change without notice. We work hard to keep downloads working — Lynx keeps its download engine up to date by itself — but we can’t guarantee that any particular website will work at any particular time.

7. Copyright complaints

We don’t host or distribute anyone’s content, but if you believe Lynx or this website is being used to infringe your copyright, write to support@lynxdownload.com with the details and we’ll look into it promptly.

8. Disclaimer

Lynx is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we’ll give notice on the website at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Lynx after that means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
