About Lynx
We make downloading feel like it should.
Saving a video, a song or a big file should take one paste — not a converter site, three pop-ups and a guess about which button is real.
Lynx started as a website that downloaded videos for people. It worked — until it didn’t. Servers that download for millions of people get blocked, cost money for every video, and see everything their users save.
So we rebuilt it as software that runs on your own computer. Downloads now come straight from the site to you, at your full speed, and nobody in the middle sees them. The website you’re reading is just where you get the app.
Today Lynx is a small family of products that work together: the download manager for Mac (Windows is on the way), the Clip Download for keeping only the part you need, Lynx Notch for MacBooks, and a browser extension that puts a Download button where the links are.
