Free. Apple silicon,
macOS 11 or later.

  1. Paste a link. It opens at once, with every quality and its real size.
  2. Pick the quality. 4K stays 4K, in a file every app can open.
  3. Full speed, in the notch. Up to 32 connections per file, and the notch shows how far along it is.
  4. Done. It’s in your Downloads folder, ready to play.

Just the part you need.

Play the video right in Lynx, drag two handles and download only that part, as a video, a vertical clip, a GIF or audio. Our 35-second clip came to 11 MB instead of 255 MB.

How clips work

Copy a link anywhere and the notch opens with what it found: the title, the length and the best quality. Download it in one click, or clip just the part.

Lynx Notch

Your downloads, beside your music.

Music plays in the island, and a download gets a bubble of its own beside it until it’s done. Hover and both open together. Free with Lynx.

Everything in the notch

One click on the page you’re on.

Where there’s a video, the Lynx button sits right on it. Pick a quality and it’s downloading in Lynx, at full speed.

The browser extension

A whole list, at full speed.

Paste many links at once and they download side by side. Up to 32 connections per file, and a dropped connection picks up where it stopped.

The download manager

Made for the Mac.
Fast because it runs on yours.

Lynx is a native app that works on your own computer. A download starts the moment you paste and goes at the full speed of your connection, straight into your folder.

Questions

More answers are in the Help Center, or contact support.

Is Lynx free?
Yes, with no time limit and no ads. The free version downloads direct files at full speed, saves video up to 1080p and makes clips up to 5 minutes. Pro adds the highest available quality, clips of any length in every shape, playlists and subtitles. Lynx Notch is free in full. Every Pro feature is free for your first 14 days.
What can it download?
Any direct link to a file, such as an installer, archive, disk image or document. Large downloads you start in Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc go to Lynx automatically. Lynx also saves video and audio from most web pages that play it in your browser. It doesn’t bypass copy protection (DRM), so it can’t save from streaming services that use it. Download only what you have the right to.
Does it work on Windows?
Not yet. The Mac version is available now, and a Windows version is in development. Leave your email and we’ll tell you when it’s ready. One Pro licence will cover both.
Do my downloads go through your servers?
No. Lynx downloads on your computer, over your own connection. We never see what you save, and you don’t need an account.
What happens after the free trial?
Lynx keeps working as the free version, and your downloads stay where they are. Buy Pro at any time to turn the Pro features back on. The trial never charges you automatically.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of buying, for any reason. Email support@lynxdownloadmanager.com with your order number. See the refund policy.
