Apple silicon or Intel — which download do I need?

Open the Apple menu (top-left corner of the screen) › About This Mac.

• If the line Chip says Apple M1, M2, M3, M4 or later, download Lynx for Apple silicon.
• If it says Processor followed by Intel, download Lynx for Intel.

Most Macs sold since late 2020 have Apple silicon.

Picked the wrong one? No harm done: the Apple silicon version won’t open on an Intel Mac, and the Intel version runs more slowly on Apple silicon. Download the right one from Download and replace the app in Applications.
